01 / Overview

Loved in the neighborhood, invisible in search.

Gantry Kids & Teens is a premier youth fitness and development program in Long Island City, offering structured strength training, after-school programs, summer camps, and more. Their mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and empowering environment for children of all ages to build confidence and develop a lifelong love for movement.

Great community presence. Weak visibility online. Parents searching for after-school programs, summer camps, and fitness opportunities in Long Island City weren't finding them.

02 / The Challenge

A well-built site that wasn't earning local search.

The site was well-built but hadn't been optimized for local search. The Google Business Profile had strong ratings but was out of date. Key website content wasn't aligned with the high-value local search terms parents were actually using.

Gantry tapped into our Core Digital Services monthly subscription to address the gaps with a team of marketing experts and start making progress quickly.

03 / Our Approach

Audit the base. Localize the content. Show the work.

Phase 1 / SEO Audit & Technical Enhancements

Sitewide SEO Audit

Baseline site analysis, keyword research, industry research, Google Business Profile audit, and a semantic audit for content optimization.

Full SEO Audit Document

Actionable recommendations the team could act on, paired with a Google Analytics dashboard for tracking site performance going forward.

Metadata + Alt Text

Optimized meta descriptions and title tags across 107 web pages. Updated alt-image tags for over 100 images to improve accessibility and search performance.

Phase 2 / Content Strategy & Optimization

Page-by-Page Content Updates

Updated content across core pages, including the homepage, Pre-Kids / Kids / Pre-Teen programs, Strength Training, After-School, Summer Camp, and more.

Localized Blog Content

New posts anchored to the neighborhood: Bike Safety Tips for Riding Around Long Island City, Back to School Safety Tips for Living in Queens, Best Opportunities for Organized, Safe Play in Long Island City, and Why Free and Risky Play in Afterschool Programs Are Crucial for Child Development.

Keyword + Partnership Callouts

Added localized keywords to meta descriptions, title tags, and alt-image tags where appropriate. Called out Gantry's school district partnerships by school name and public school number so parents could recognize them instantly.

04 / Handed Back

What to keep doing.

Alongside the work, we delivered a short list of ongoing actions that would compound over time:

  • Encourage additional parents to leave Google Business Profile reviews.
  • Regularly update photos on the Google Business Profile so it stays current.
  • Keep integrating "Long Island City" focused keywords into new content.
  • Maintain a consistent blog cadence with localized topics.
  • Keep optimizing metadata, title tags, and alt text on every new page.
  • Review monthly tracking and data via the Google Analytics dashboard.
